Should I Return to Core HR or Stay in Recruitment? Seeking Your Advice and Insights

vasavis
Hi friends, how are you all? It's been a very long time since I got back to this forum and contacted you all. I am looking for advice from all of you. Please suggest.

Career Background and Current Situation

Actually, my educational background is MCA, and due to some personal reasons, I couldn't work for 4 years after my education. When I started my career, I got an opportunity as an HR Executive and worked for a year. Then, I shifted companies and became an HR Recruiter, where I am still working. It's been almost a year now.

Seeking Advice on Career Path

Now, I have a very good opportunity to get back to core HR activities. I request all of you to suggest whether I should go back to Core HR or continue with what I am doing. Please also help me with updates on statutory things as well as other related activities.

Thank you.

I feel that it is better to take up the chance. In fact, many recruiters are looking for positions like HR Generalist and Payroll as the career prospects are better in core HR. Once you get into that, you will become an expert in the backbone of HR, and then you can even transition to a generalist role.

I am actually interested in core HR activities only. Anyways, thanks for your post. I need information regarding PF. The company where I got an offer is a startup firm. I need to initiate PF, ESI, and all other statutory things. So please suggest to me how to proceed with the PF formalities and all others.

That's great to know you are starting straight away with the statutory part. Please find enclosed documents where you will gain some knowledge on the same. Further details will be provided in this forum. 

Thank you.

For any help you need, you can find lots of seniors in this forum who will help you out, like Jeevarathnam sir already did.

Anyways, good luck. Take care.
