New to Screening Content Writers? What Essential Questions Should I Ask?

Hi, my company is currently recruiting content writers, and I am responsible for conducting the initial screening of candidates along with HR screening. After the initial screening on my end, I have to send the suitable candidates to the senior content writer, and the process continues.

This is the first time I am involved in screening content writers, and I have little knowledge about it. What are the basic questions related to content writing that I should ask the candidates? Please assist.

What type of content writing is this? Check if the candidate has previous experience in content writing in the required subject. Compare the required experience with the experience they hold. If you can gather more input from your existing content writers on the type of projects they are working on, you can assess if the candidate has relevant similar experience.

Please provide me with some interview questions for content writers! I am working for a media channel, so I have to conduct the first round as I don't have much knowledge on how to judge content writers in my first job. Please suggest what I should ask to recruit the best people for my company!
