Hi,
I would like to add a few more important points. A training module would consist of two parts:
1 - For the training organization:
A training organization could be your training department or an external agency that will execute the training based on your requirements. You will typically have the following:
- You will have the training module classified into lessons and topics. For example, the module could be making a presentation, the lesson will be "Prepare for a presentation," and the topic could be "collect information."
- In case the same module is handled by many trainers, you need to have standardized content with information for the presenter/trainer on what you expect them to say for each of the points (speaker notes).
- Course evaluation methods along with mid-course evaluation techniques. You may have pre/post-training evaluations/projects.
- Formal or informal feedback during the course and a mid-course correction mechanism.
- If the module is technical, then a hardware/software checklist and other infrastructure facilities required to execute the program along with help information/contact information.
- A well-defined module objective attainment form.
- What is the current competency level, and what is expected at the end of the program?
2 - For your audience:
- Objective of the module.
- Prerequisites to attend this module.
- How will this help them to perform better in their current/future role.
- Suggested reading before attending the program.
- Complete handouts with questionnaires, quizzes, assessments/evaluations.
- Do's and Don'ts (dress code, usage of mobile, laptop, voice recorders).
- Access to additional information (library/internet, etc.).
Once you start doing it, you will find it very simple and easy to create. Write to me if you need any clarification.
Best Regards,
