Confused About PF Withdrawal Form? Clarifying the Right Date of Joining for 2010 Employees

loveneet
Hello Everybody, Please let me know if an employee was working in 2010 and the company registered for PF in 2011 due to having less manpower, which date should be mentioned as the Date of Joining (DOJ) in the PF withdrawal form of that employee? Thanks in advance. Waiting for your replies.

You have to mention the PF effective date as the Date of Joining (DOJ) for those employees. The PF effective date means the date your establishment or factory becomes subject to the PF definition.

As already mentioned by others, for existing employees, the DOJ will be the date your company is registered for PF. For everybody who joins after 2011, their actual DOJ.

The company was registered in 2011 for EPF, and the worker was in employment from 2010. The worker's D.O.J. will be the date of the allotment of the EPF code to the company. This is because prior to the registration of the company with EPF authorities, no deductions of EPF have been done for employees, nor have they been deposited with EPF authorities. Hence, his earlier service is not accountable for provident fund purposes.

Trust this meets your needs.

PF Date of Joining Clarification

The date of joining in the PF will be effective from the date of eligibility in PF for existing employees on that date.
