Dear Members,

I need to organize a badminton match for employees. Can anyone suggest a mail format to be sent to employees for sending information related to this game?

Hello,

Please don't think I am rude. Can't you write simple sentences in English? Is it too difficult to try out something yourself, like a recipe for a new dish? A disastrous recipe may even cause bodily harm if cooked and eaten. However, if you attempt to write in English yourself, nothing will happen. Never feel shy or hesitate because you may make a mistake or something. Unless you attempt, when will you start learning?

Even for writing a leave letter or a resignation letter, youngsters immediately rush to CiteHR. It is really a worrying trend. Why don't you please try it out yourself and post it here so that we can at least correct it?

How long do you think you can go on asking for others' help? Unless you attempt it yourself, make mistakes, learn from them, one can never improve in life. Success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.

Please make an attempt yourself and come back to us. It will only take me two minutes to assist you. Remember the saying: "Instead of giving a fish to the needy every day, teach the person how to fish!" That is what I am doing here.

Best wishes

Hi,

First of all, I support Mr. Sundram's point of view that one must make an attempt first and then seek help. I must congratulate Shallu on taking the feedback positively and for making that attempt in drafting the circular.

While the draft is a good attempt, I would suggest that while drafting, the focus must be on answering the following questions:
- What is the subject matter of the email?
- Why is the email to be sent?
- Who is the email to be addressed to?
- What must the content of the email include?
- What action is needed to be taken by those reading the email?
- Is there any additional information or input to be enclosed?

In fact, in the above draft you have prepared, the tournament structure is a critical element and should form an integral part of your communication.

I am sure Mr. Sundram must have sent you a corrected draft. If not, I would suggest you attempt another draft using the pointers given above.

Best wishes

Dear Mr. Jacob,

Thank you for the response. Mr. Sundaram has already mailed me the draft. I will always keep in mind the points which you have suggested for writing emails.

Shallu
