Stuck Between Job Offers: How Should I Handle the Delay from HDFC Bank?

Hi, Recently, I interviewed with HDFC Bank and, as per the confirmation from the HR and Cluster Manager, I was selected for the position of PB. Subsequently, as requested by the HR, I emailed them my relieving letter from ICICI Bank and my tenth-grade marksheet. I also filled out the Offer Letter Requisition form and submitted it. However, it has been 8 days, and I have not received any further updates regarding the offer/confirmation from the concerned team. Meanwhile, I am receiving a job offer from another company. I am very confused about what I should do in this regard. Please help me out.

Well Ankurupadhya, the first thing is you could call and check the progress. The type of reception you get from them will depend on the way they function and treat their employees. Some companies have a timeframe for notifying their candidates, but this type of information would either be published on their website or the candidates would be notified. If they have not notified you of when they are going to get back to you, it doesn't sound too professional; however, it could be that they are inundated with candidates and couldn't be bothered replying to all. If a good opportunity presents itself at a certain time, perhaps it would be good to see the benefits in it and decide whether or not to take it. Relying on getting a posting with an organization and letting go of other possible opportunities is worth thinking about. Good luck anyway.
