Difference Between Employees Union And Association

Let me know the difference between Employees Union and Association. What is the advantage and disadvantages forming employees Association for Non Union members?

What, I think, Suriyanarayanan was referring to was Unions & Associations w.r.t. EMPLOYEES only--NOT trade Unions vs Association for trades/companies.

There is no deference between Union and association if both are registered under Trade Union Act 1926.
