The responsibilities of an HR Generalist will be:
1. Will essentially be managing all the transactions and tactical functions in HR as an administrative and employee relations functional expert. This is the baseline expectation.
2. Responsible for the identification, diagnosis, and resolution of HR-related situations, calling on appropriate resources to resolve the issue. Provides direction and guidance for tactical and strategic process improvements and establishing policies/standards. Works and partners with the shared services team in the areas of compensation and benefits, operations, training, and staffing. Assists in the formulation of manpower objectives, staffing plans, and individual, team, and organizational development plans. Administers compensation and benefits plans. Continuously improves the company's image as an attractive place to work.
3. Leads and is part of multi-function teams on specific business initiatives. Serves as a business partner to management and participates in the development and implementation of human resource plans to support business objectives. Will be expected to drive along with the business groups' development and employee communication efforts. Acts as a key advisor to senior management in influencing the direction of the people strategies.
4. Consults with management and employees on human resource-related issues and policies.
5. Ensures employee relations legal requirements are met to minimize exposure and liability.
6. Supports and implements top-down and bottom-up communication channels.
7. Manages the performance review process and timelines. Compiles industry data on attrition, variable pay, retention strategies, etc.
8. Assists in the formulation of rewards and recognition programs, retention programs, and other softer HR initiatives.
