Confused About "Gross Emolument" in Offer Letters? Let's Clarify Together

I am really confused about the word "gross emolument." Please help me out.

The term Gross Emoluments or Cost To the Company (CTC) represents the total expense borne by the individual employee. It includes the Monthly Salary (along with all perks such as Bonus/Ex-Gratia, LTC/LFC, Medical Reimbursement, PF Contribution of the Company, and any other reimbursements).

GROSS EMOLUMENT: including deductions (deductions in the sense of statutory and other deductions) is called GROSS EMOLUMENTS.

Yes, CTC includes ESIC too. In simple terms, CTC is the total cost that a company bears to employ an employee. Apart from the gross salary, it also includes the employer's contributions to ESIC, PF, and Gratuity.
