Hi Amanda,
There is no need for you to go to Mumbai for your PF withdrawl,as it can be done by filling up the PF form and u can approach accouts department dey hav the agents working for them for PF accounts so u can giv that form to them they will charge minimum amount.
There is one option in which way you want your PF amount to be given cash payment or thru bank payment u shud fill up ur bank a/c no nd the bank name it will get deposited in ur account.

If you are relieved properly, you can apply for transfer, which is 100% legal. This would also help you to get the years accumulated for Pension.
The other way though not fully legal is to submit the claim form to your old company and they would send it to the local office and would be sent to you. For this you need to give your Bank statement/Pass book xerox. The amount would be directly credited to your account.
