Maternity Leave During Probation Period

Hi All,
The eligibility of availing maternity leave is service of minimum 80 days.
For the calculation of 80 days Saturday & Sunday 'll not be counted.
Pls confirm.

Maternity leave is not a leave it is facility under act The Maternity Benefit Act 1961. therefore the employee is eligible to avail the benefits during probation period of her service.

It is not 80 working days
It is 80 days of work without a service break
In lay mans language, it's 80 calendar days
