I wanted to understand if leaves are to be mandatorily calculated on a calendar year basis as per the rule, or can a company opt for financial year accounting on leaves. I did go through the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishment Act for this purpose. However, I could not locate any such information therein (not sure if there is any amendment to the Act). I would really appreciate it if anyone can provide me with the relevant link or any updated information on the same.
