Seeking Advice on the Best Correspondence MBA in HR for Career Growth While Working

shweta puri
Hi,

I want to do an MBA in HR through correspondence from a reputable university or institute. Please tell me which one would be best for me in building a strong future because I aim to secure a good job based on it. Currently, I have completed postgraduation in Sanskrit. Kindly provide me with suitable references for admission as I anticipate having to work while pursuing my MBA. Please advise me at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

Hi Shweta,

Symbiosis (www.scdl.net) is good. One of my friends did her MHRM from Pondicherry University. Even some universities like Madurai Kamaraj University, Anna University, Annamalai University, Alagappa University are offering PG and PGD in HR.

Cheers,
Swati :)

Hi there,

You can pursue an MBA in HR through correspondence from either IMT Ghaziabad or Symbiosis Institute for Distance Learning. These are renowned institutes.

Hi Shweta,

Perhaps you can let the group know why you wish to pursue HR after having completed a PG in Sanskrit. However, it is more important that you choose the stream of study that will help you in a long-term career. By the way, why don't you consider doing an MBA in systems? With your foundation in Sanskrit, I think it would be useful. The recommended institutes are good. I understand that XLRI also offers an online course for this - perhaps you can check it out. I would personally recommend a part-time course if you can manage home, work, class, and studies together.

Wish you all the best.

Please don't pursue it from ICFAI because clearing their exams is very difficult. What does this mean? Do you just need a degree without putting in efforts?

Hello Shweta Madam,

Being a postgraduate yourself, you are the best person to decide on any course and at any university of your choice. There are a lot of universities and institutions offering MBA programs or PGDCA (equivalent to MBA) through distance mode. Each of them offers different courses in various streams with different intake procedures. Please go through the newspapers or the internet. In fact, the university where you completed your postgraduate degree in Sanskrit may also have a separate wing for correspondence courses offered by national universities such as IGNOU, Dr. B.R. Open University, Kuvempu, Bharathidasan, etc. Nowadays, there are many study centers of every university located in every district of every state. Finding them may not be a problem at all.

All the best.

Hi Shweta! Good to know you wish to expand your knowledge area. It does not matter if you wish to do an MBA after an MA in Sanskrit. Knowledge in any field is not a waste, and you can also consider IGNOU to achieve the degree. For that, you need to clear the entrance exams held twice a year, once in August and once in February. They have centers all over India.

All the best! :)

Hi, you should take an HRM in your MBA. This is best for your future prospects. In the present scenario, we can see that there are many opportunities for MBA-HR students. That's why you should choose a Human Resource specialization.

Shweta,

While talking about an MBA, I don't think employers these days prefer a candidate who has done his/her MBA through correspondence. It is better to opt for a part-time MBA from one of the reputed institutes. When you mentioned that clearing an MBA from ICFAI is tough, it clearly suggests that you want a degree without putting in any effort; you just want the stamp of an MBA degree, and that's fine. However, on the other hand, you also want a good job based on your MBA degree. Here is the question: how is it possible if you only want an MBA stamp rather than a degree with knowledge?

If you genuinely aim to secure a good job with a reputable firm based on your MBA degree, then my suggestion is to consider the following institutes:

1. IMI - New Delhi
2. LBSIM - New Delhi
3. Amity Business Schools
4. ICFAI
5. FMS - New Delhi - Part-time MBA is the best option
6. GGSIP University - New Delhi - Part-time MBA: It could be the second-best choice
7. IMT - Ghaziabad - A good option

Additionally, you may explore other top institutes offering part-time programs, such as MDI Gurugram, Apeejay School of Management, IIT Delhi, and FSM etc.

Thanks,

Dev

Hi,

What's the reason for enrolling in the MBA? You will need to ascertain what direction your career should take and then base your decision on it! Please do not make a hasty decision which may not be reversible in the future! All the best!!

I have completed my MBA from ICFAI in HR (full-time) and, believe me, the curriculum is the best in the industry. I finished my course last month and am now looking for a job that matches my profile. Can anyone please shed some light on this matter?

Hi Shweta,

It's really nice to know that you want to do an MBA, and I can understand the confusion of selecting the best out of many alternatives. Shweta, I would suggest you go for Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar. This is also a good university, and as you have a different educational background, you would be able to clear the exams by putting in little effort. This university provides a flexible program for students who want to continue their studies through correspondence. If you have some doubts regarding this, you can visit their site. Furthermore, I am also giving you the contact number of their study center in Chandigarh, which is (0172-2667771). You can get the relevant info by calling this number.

Think wisely... All the Best. 😊

Hi Shweta,

The best option would be to get it from XLRI/IIM, etc., which offer PG certification courses through Hughes DirecWay - www.dwge.com. These are purely based for working professionals who do not have time for full-time learning. The best option in these is that you would get the advantage of being from top MBA colleges and in-depth knowledge on the best HR practices and their applicability.

They have learning centers across India, and you need to attend classes either in the evening, morning, or weekends. The best part is that all the classes are online and are taught by top faculties. And at the end of the course, you will have a program on the campus, which is again part of the curriculum.

Happy learning 😉.

Warm Regards,
Vivek

Hello Sweta,

I am very new to this community, but I can tell you that after completing MA in Sanskrit, you should pursue M.Phil and PhD. However, you are mature enough to decide the best university for yourself. You can also directly go for an M.Phil course in HR, if my knowledge is correct. Please verify this information.

Thank you.

Dear Members,

Hello! I have some confusions. Can anyone help me, please?

I have joined MBA ICFAI PART TIME, i.e., evening classes, and I am working in the head office of Health & Glow Clinic as a front desk executive. Although my job profile does not include anything related to the front desk, I have been designated as such. Now, I am in confusion that after completing my MBA, does my current job profile obstruct me from getting an HR position in a good company?
