Provident Fund Transfer: Do Previous Employment Years Count Towards Benefits?

sebastianvaz
With the Provident Fund transfer from my previous account to the present account, do I get the benefit of the number of years spent at my previous employment along with the fund transfer?

Thank you.

Dear friend, you will definitely receive the service period from when the PF was deducted in your previous employment accumulated. You need to apply using Form 13 and submit it through your present employer.

What's the next step to take if the employer is refusing to sign the withdrawal form? Kindly help.

Dear friend,

Since there is no confusion in signing the Transfer application form, your present employer should definitely sign. If your present employer still strongly refuses to sign Form 13, you can apply for withdrawal in Form 19 and 10C by sending the forms to the PF office straight away.

By doing the following:
1) Accepting Scheme Certificate in Form 10C (as it will greatly help you avail pension at a later date).
2) Getting attestation from any gazetted officer or the manager of the bank where you have an account - in place of the employer's attestation.

Hi Friends,

I have a small query. I have an employee who has a PF account in Bangalore, and now he has joined my company in Hyderabad. Can you please tell me what the process is to transfer the PF account? What are the documents required for the same and from whom? Kindly help me with this.

Regards,

Vijaykanth, you can apply through your new company using Form No. 13 to request the transfer of PF accumulations from your previous company to the new one. It would be beneficial for you to obtain Form 3a for your entire period of service in the old company and keep it for your records. This will be useful in case an error occurs during the transfer process in the PF department, as there is no way you will be notified of the transfer. You will only become aware of it when you receive the annual statement of accounts from the department.
