Hi Team, please update on what your organization is deciding for tomorrow's Bharat Bandh.
MANJUNATH G.K.
As expressed, it all depends on the local environment. In our industry, we declare a holiday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. as ours is a continuous process industry with a staggered holiday system. Wherever the staggered system is not in place, the management discusses with the union to compensate for the bandh day's work by rescheduling it to another weekly holiday, meaning employees would have to work on a different weekly off day.

If employees do not show up for work, many managements implement the "No work, No pay" principle by cutting their wages.

This information is shared with you.
