My factory is in Silvassa Industrial Area, Daman, with an employee strength of 100. I want to know whether Professional Tax and Labour Welfare Fund are applicable to this industrial area.
If your factory is in Silvassa or Daman (not Daman - Daman is a separate Union Territory), PF is applicable. ESIC - Although applicable, since we do not have an ESIC hospital, the UT has not implemented the scheme. So, as of now, ESIC is not applicable. No professional tax/No Labour Welfare Fund.
