I work for an IT company with 30 employees.
1. I would like to know if there are specific or mandatory leave rules for IT companies.
2. Is the categorization of Casual, Sick and Earned leave mandatory?
3. Does IT company come under the Karnataka Shops and Establishments Act?
I would highly appreciate your responses.

Thank you for your reply. From the Karnataka Shops and Establishment Act, I am unable to make out if categorisation of Casual, Sick and Privilege Leave are a must. Can you please clarify.

In Karnataka shops & commercial establishments act they clearly mentioned as EL/Earned Leave. Thats nothing but Privilige Leave.

As per any govt rules there is no any rules for CL or SL. In consideration with employee welfare management shall define leave policies. It doesn't mean as it is mandatory.
