New to Manpower Budgeting in the Auto Industry: Seeking Your Advice and Support

n_baghel@yahoo.com
I have currently switched my job and now I'm in the automobile sector where I am asked to formulate the following:

1. The Induction PPT,
2. The Manpower Budgeting, and
3. The Corporate Portfolio of the company.

I am familiar with the induction process, but the other tasks are new to me. I would appreciate advice and support from all of you.

Manpower planning is a significant term for selection and development needs. Staffing is included in manpower planning and budgeting, depending on the type of JD. The HR Department has to work on manpower planning/budgeting. This should be done in steps:

- Discuss with departments (HODs) like Sales, Production, IT, and Accounting about their requisition and manpower requirements, recruitment, and training for each department meticulously.
- Once you receive the requirements, plan the budgeting (pay slabs).
- Staffing with planning: Recruitment/Selection plans, Training & Development plans, Performance management plans, etc.
- Next is the HR Planning: Numbers, Age, Skills, Flexibility, Capabilities, Potential at work, Staff movement, Recruitment planning, and Succession planning, etc.

Corporate Portfolio:

- Corporate Strategy
- Corporate Mission
- Corporate Budget
- Corporate Organizational policies
- Corporate Product and Sales forecast
- Corporate IR policies, etc.

Please let me know if you need any further clarification or information.

Thank you.
