Generation and Submission of EPF Contribution Challan
With effect from March, 2012 (paid in April, 2012) EPFO has launched EPF – e_Sewa scheme.
Advantages of EPF – e-Sewa scheme:
o No paper Returns required now
o No submission of 5, 10, 12A, 3A, 6A Returns required now
o Employer to get instant SMS of contribution payment
o EPF Contribution to be credited in Members’ account on monthly basis
o Employer can view Annual Account Slips ‘online’ from the year 2011-12
How to make use of EPF – e-Sewa:
Go to EPFO website
Click>Online ECR/Challan submission
Click>Employer e-Sewa
Register your establishment by following instructions and get your “USER NAME” and “PASSWORD”
Prepare your wage sheet / contribution details strictly as per ECR File Format
Open your account with your user name and password
Click>ECR>ECR Upload>Choose File>Submit
Approve File if correct; Correct File if it shows Error
Find ECR challan with TRRN Number>Complete challan manually for A/c 2, 21 and 22
Your challan with TRRN Number will be generated>Download it immediately as it will lapse after 15 days
Pay contribution by using CINBfacility of SBI; or take printout of challan>fill-in cheque etc. details>submit challan and Cheque with designated branch of SBI>Receive SMS about clearance of contribution cheque>Collect challan after clearance
Save for record monthwise PDF of ECR, TRRN Challan, Challan Acknowledgement and Remittance Confirmation
