Dear Mr. Satish,
Contract Labour is a labor hired through a third person called Contractor. Your firm will be the Principal employer for contract workers/labours. According to the Contract Labor Act 1970, contract labours can be engaged through a contractor complied to the statutory compulsion for payment of wages for industries. Along with the required licences, registration of the worker with the specific job that he is hired thereof. According to the ID Act, the hiring depend on the type of agreement which is permitted and the contract labours can be set for a period.

ESIC is applicable for the strength 10 and above and the salary limit is 15000/- gross salary per month effective from 1.4.2011.
PF is applicable for the strength 20 and above. In case you have less than 20 employees you can apply PF under voluntary coverage.

I am a contractor and (pvt ltd company) and around 12 migrant workers at site. what are the mandatory registrations I should comply (like esi pf etc.) i was working in qatar and dont know much about the formalities here. So pls help me to avoid any legal regulatory issues.
