Rental Agreement Dilemma: Can I Use It for Tax Exemption Without Rent Receipts?

sunny_2012
I have a rental agreement, but my owner is not ready to give me rent receipts. I am paying 6k in rent to him. Is there any way I can use the rental agreement as proof for tax exemption? If not, what other options do I have?

Yes, registered agreements are valid proofs of rent payment. They can be used for tax purposes.
