Confused About New PF Notice? Need Help with March Deposits and ECR Submission

hrnehasharma6
I have some queries regarding the new attention notice on the PF site. I have been depositing PF online since April. However, according to the message from the site, it applies from March onwards. Please clarify what I should do for March, as I have already deposited it according to the previous manual rule. The attention message details are as follows:

EPFO Notice

Attention Dear Employers! If you have made remittance for the wage month of March 2012 onwards using a manual challan, please submit the ECR text file along with the hard copy of the ECR PDF file duly signed by the Authorised Signatory and a certified copy of the receipted challan to the concerned EPFO Office. The total remitted amount under each account head should match the amounts under the respective heads in the challan.

The message is coming for everybody, not only for you. The PF department has even sent letters to all organizations. It is better to file the ECR for the month of March 2012, specify the payment details, get an acknowledgment from SBI, and submit the returns.

We had done a manual submission of PF for March '12. Later on, we realized that it had to be submitted online. So, we generated the ECR and uploaded it. However, now nothing mentioning that TRRN is visible in my portal. Should I upload it again?

Thanks,
Anu

Yes, you should follow the same procedure. I believe you submitted once again. Please take the TRRN copy and the PDR return copy, get the signature from the authorized signatory, and submit the same to the PF department in original. Also, make sure to take the acknowledgment. Ensure that what you submitted in that particular period matches this return. 

Thank you.
