The PowerPoint presentation on warming contains numerous statistical methods related to the subject. From the standpoint of a common person, it raises more questions than it provides clarity.

The Earth is getting warmer

This is what most of the studies say.

Human activity may not be the main cause.

The popular belief that six gases contribute to the greenhouse gas (GHG) effect and hence global warming has not yet been challenged. It is said that of the six gases, the one emitted in the largest quantities is Carbon Dioxide (CO2). The increase in CO2 emissions is attributed to industrialization, and this is also not disputed.

If human activity is not the cause, what is causing the increase in CO2 levels?

Global warming may not be a bad thing

Melting of glaciers, rapid drying up of rivers once considered perennial, and inundation of low-lying areas like Bangladesh are all causes of concern attributed to global warming. On what basis is it said that global warming is not a bad thing?

Technological solutions may be available and relatively simple

Is this true? Worldwide, there is a focus on renewable and alternative forms of energy. They produce only a microscopic percentage of electricity. However, coal and oil dominate, and they emit the most CO2.
