From the stand point of a common man, it has posed more questions than clarity.

The Earth is getting warmer
This is what most of the studies say.
Human activity may not be the main cause.
The popular belief that six gases are contributing to GHG effect
and hence global warming is also not yet challenged .
It is said of the Six gases, the one that is emitted in Max Quantities is
Carbon Dioxide(CO2).
CO2 emission increase is attributed to Industrialization and that is also not disputed.
So if human activity is not the cause what is it that causes increase of CO2 levels.
Global warming may not be a bad thing
Melting of Glaciers, rapid drying up of rivers once considered perennial, inundation of low lying areas like Bangladesh etc are all causes of worry
attributed to Global warming.
On what basis it is said that Global warming is not a bad thing?
Technological solutions may be available and relatively simple
Is this true?. Worldwide they are trying to focus on renewable and alternative
forms of energy.They produce a microscopic percentage of electricity only.
However Coal and Oil rule the roost. Coal and Oil belch out maximum CO2.
