Maternity Benefit Act of 1961: Leave Provisions

As per the Maternity Benefit Act of 1961, leave for a miscarriage is 6 weeks, and tubectomy leave is 14 days.

As per the Maternity Benefit Act, "In case of a miscarriage, a woman shall, on production of such proof as may be prescribed, be entitled to leave with wages at the rate of maternity benefit for a period of six weeks immediately following the day of her miscarriage.

In addition, in the case of a tubectomy operation, a woman shall, on production of such proof as may be prescribed, be entitled to leave with wages at the rate of maternity benefit for a period of two weeks immediately following the day of her tubectomy operation.

Hi, I just want to check in the case of a tubectomy operation whether these 14 days of leave are in addition to the employee's leave entitlement.
