Dear All,
I have been working in a media company as a senior executive in HR for the last 5 years. I completed my MBA (Part-time) in HR in 2012 with a score of 71%. I am solely responsible for handling HR in Mumbai as there is no one else in the HR team.
Career Aspirations and Current Challenges
I believe that with my experience, educational qualifications, and skills, I should be promoted to the position of HR Manager or at least Assistant Manager HR. I am currently searching for a new job because I am seeking growth and development in my career. The responsibilities I am currently handling have become monotonous. After completing my MBA, I developed an interest in Organizational Development, Training and Development, Policy-making and implementation, HR Budgeting, and anything that can help achieve organizational goals and contribute to my career growth. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pursue these interests in my current company due to the lack of systems, workflow, and policies.
Seeking Opportunities for Practical Application
I am a highly career-oriented woman dedicated to my work. However, I am struggling to find the right opportunity where I can apply my theoretical knowledge practically. I am unsure why I am not being selected after seemingly good interviews most of the time.
Please review my resume and let me know if I am on the right track or if I am being overly confident about myself. Alternatively, please advise me on how to update my skills in the HR field.
I am eagerly awaiting your suggestions and replies.
With regards,
Jayashree
