Dear all, Initially, we used to submit ESIC challans through checks from other banks. However, starting from the 1st of August 2012, ESIC and EPFO have refused to accept checks from other banks.

Now, the issue I am facing is that I wish to pay the ESIC amount online. Please guide me on what to do because during the generation of the challan, it prompts for online payment, and I had canceled that option at that time. How should I proceed with the payment now?

You cannot refuse to pay the EPF and ESI by rejecting other checks. To my knowledge, you need to meet with the bank manager to discuss the payment of EPF and ESI. They will guide you and clarify any doubts you may have.

Dear friends,

Can anybody provide a list of 58 banks that are eligible to accept payment of ESI and a system to make payment of the generated challan? Currently, on the ESI website, there is no system to make the payment except through SBI before generation.
