Need a Voter ID for Passport? Step-by-Step Guide to Applying and Submitting Your Application

I am looking to apply for a passport. I learned that we need a Voter ID for identity proof for the same. Please help me with the procedure to apply for a Voter ID. What kind of letter do I have to write, and where do I have to submit this letter? Where or what is the office for this purpose?

Welcome to the community. The Election Commission of India (ECI) will issue a voter ID card through your Electoral Registration Officer (ERO). You will need to find out where your ERO is. Not sure how this works outside of the metropolitan cities—maybe some of our members will have some information.
