Does Onsite Experience Boost Job Opportunities and Salary Hikes in India?

Hi, I am from India. Do companies select employees who have onsite experience to work offshore? Could anyone clarify my doubt? Thanks in advance.

All relevant work experience will count for all work depending on the requirements of the client. Salary is a discretionary component in the hands of the company and depends on what you are willing to accept to work with them.

However, one thing that has been noticed with those currently on-site and looking for offshore jobs is that they tend to think in terms of dollars rather than rupees when discussing the salary (converting the rupee salary to US$ before deciding). Such a mentality needs to be curtailed if the job is to be yours. When India-based jobs are being considered, think in rupees.
