Are There International Standards for Safety Posters on Construction Sites? Seeking Guidance

Query on Safety Posters for Construction Sites

I have a query; I want to know if there are any standards for placing safety posters on a construction site. Our PMC team is insisting on putting up 100 safety posters (NSC posters) for a 100,000 sq ft area of the site. We have already placed 30 posters on the site. Are there any international standards for this? Or do any regulations specify that safety posters should be displayed based on a certain square footage area?

Please share your valuable comments.

Dear Mr. Vishwanath Hegde,

First of all, a warm welcome to this active EHS discussion forum of CiteHR. I hope to see you continuously participating in this forum and sharing your expertise with us. Regarding your query, I am not aware of the existence of any such policy or standard as of now. I will surely find out and let you know.

Placement of Safety Posters

All the posters should be placed at vantage points, clearly visible to the human eye. I believe it's sufficient when it comes to the installation of safety posters.

I look forward to receiving more inputs from other members of the forum.

There is no such requirement from any law or IS standard. We have to follow it by intent. The pictorial message is very well communicated and understood.

Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir
