Does the ESIC Act of 1948 Cover Apprentices? Seeking Clarity on Record-Keeping Requirements

Hi, I am working as a Statutory Compliance Consultant. I would like to know whether the ESIC Act of 1948 applies to apprentices or not. Is it necessary to keep a separate record of apprentices for ESIC, such as an ESIC Register, ESIC Return, etc.?

If the apprentices are hired as per The Apprentices Act, 1961, and you are filing returns as per the Act, then they will not come under the purview of ESIC. If not, it will be applicable for them as well.
