Minimum Wages for Shop & Establishment (1st July to 31st December 2012)

The minimum wages for Shop & Establishment for the period 1st July to 31st December 2012 are as follows:

- **Skilled**
- Basic: 5800
- Special Allowance: 1215
- H.R.A.: 702
- Minimum Wages: 7717

- **Semi Skilled**
- Basic: 5400
- Special Allowance: 1215
- H.R.A.: 662
- Minimum Wages: 7277

- **Unskilled**
- Basic: 5000
- Special Allowance: 1215
- H.R.A.: 622
- Minimum Wages: 6837

Referring to your reply to Mr. Pramod on 11.08.12, wherein you have given a bifurcation as per the new amendment of the Minimum Wages Act applicable from July 12 to Dec 12.

Basic - 5000.00
Spcl Allow - 1215.00
HRA - 622.00

Query: It is said that HRA is always 50% of Basic. As per the new amendment, HRA 622.00 doesn't contribute to 50% of Basic.

It would be really great if you could advise me on a breakup of Gross Salary of Rs. 7500/- for an unskilled employee.
