Today marks the 67th anniversary of the atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As a result of the bomb attacks in Japan, more than 240,000 people lost their lives. Thank you for remembering this somber day. Just two months ago, I had the opportunity to work on a project for a few days (due to some confidential issues, I cannot elaborate here). It was actually a project of a friend involving high radioactive hazards, but unfortunately, I didn't have much time to delve deeply into it. Those two days flew by like a minute...

Once again, thank you for bringing this day back into our memories.

The radiation hazard is also because of accidental issues associated with Nuclear Power plants. In India, power generation is lagging. Hence, Nuclear power generation is an alternative. Attached is a PowerPoint presentation on nuclear power plants and their hazards. However, I still feel that if the best controls are used, Nuclear Power plants can help bridge the power demand and generation gap.
