Struggling to Get a No Dues Certificate After Final Payment – Need Guidance on Next Steps

vinaykushwaha
Hello to all the members, My fiancée worked for a company from 01.07.2011 to 06.04.2012. She submitted her resignation on 24.03.2012, which was accepted by her immediate reporting officer. However, the company didn't accept her resignation and insisted on her serving the three-month notice period. She tried for a payout, but that was also not accepted by the company. Eventually, she stopped going to the company. Now, we have received a statement from the company about full and final settlement, in which we were supposed to pay some money to the company. The same amount has been paid to the company's account as FULL AND FINAL SETTLEMENT. However, even after the payment, they are not issuing the NO DUES Certificate.

Request for Guidance

Please guide and advise on this matter. Can we not receive the no dues certificate after the final payment has been made? Also, can we ask the company to provide the service period of her employment?

Please guide.

You can ask the company to issue a No Dues Certificate (NDC) if there are no dues, and the company should provide this certificate. The company should also provide a Certificate of Employment.
