Introduction to My HR Journey

Good Afternoon. This is my first post on Cite HR. It feels great to be connected with HR professionals on one platform. I previously worked as an HR generalist with Future Group, and now I am in Kharagpur working with Tata Motors dealers.

Conceptualizing the Employee Zone at Big Bazaar-Kharagpur

I would like to share with you the employee zone that I conceptualized at Big Bazaar-Kharagpur. My small team helped make that happiness zone a reality.

Welcome onboard, Indra. Nice piece of work put up. Just a small bit of free advice: it seems you have spent a huge sum of money. The facts of people like us doing EC activities suggest that we should minimize costs and maximize output. This is when our job is well accepted by the management; if not, they may suggest that if money is spent like this, anyone can do the job.

Dear Rocklin,

Good Afternoon. Thank you so much for your appreciation. I also believe that creativity with a purpose can be achieved without an escalation of costs. I request you to go through the presentation again.

Wasted sunboards were used for the entrance makeup. Bamboo is being used for frames as well as for spoon/fork holders for the table. Paintings are being done by one of my team members who voluntarily contributed. For the lockers, 50 paise postcards were used. Paper thongas have been used for decoration. The cost for installing the punching bag has been borne by both employees and management. We were given a budget of 20,000 rupees, and different stores have covered this bill. But I must proudly tell you that our bill was much less comparatively.

Thanks again for your valuable insight.

Thank you for the detailed report. If this data had been included with the presentation, it would have explained everything. Anyway, everyone has a different view of looking at things. Here are a few ideas that came to my mind since you are from the auto industry; see if they would be helpful:

• Crushed glass painting and designs
• Recreation room using scrap waste
