Dear Sudha Madhuri
Nice to see initiative on such kind of thread... First time when I gone through the posting I was not even aware about what is RoHS... Then further searching on goggle I came to know that it is "Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive"... Thanks for educating me...
Attaching one presentation got from net itself on the different testing methods for RoHS... I don't know how much it is relevant and helpful to you... Have a look and let me know your feedback...
Hopefully our senior members come with more technical inputs on this topic...

Dear Sudha Madhuri,
If your company is producing any electronic equipments and using any of the following materials you should stop using them.
1. Cadmium
2. Hexavalent Chromium
3. Lead
4. Mercury
5. Polybrominated Biphenyls
6. Polybrominated Biphenylsethers.
If you decide to follow RoHS compliance, the above materials are to be elimilated from your products and processes.
If you are a customer of household electronic products and if you want to ensure that the product you purchased is RoHS free then pl go through attachment shared by Dipil.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir
