We conduct telephone interviews for organizations of all shapes and sizes and have done so for several years. When asking current staff and ex-employees "what is/was great about working there," 8 out of 10 will say "the people." Upon further investigation, it is often the little things that are highly regarded and frequently overlooked by organizations. Simple gestures such as celebrating a birthday, organizing tea mornings, or group bootcamp sessions can make a significant impact.
