ESI Challan Error: How Can We Fix a High Wages Mistake Before Submission?

Dear all, we have created a high wages challan in place of the actual one. How can we modify the challan? The generated challan is based on more wages than actual. The employer will not accept it. Please help me.

You cannot delete a challan that is generated online. Please prepare a letter to your ESI regional office stating the reason and the challan number, requesting them to delete the challan. Scan the letter and send it to the EDP department of your ESI regional office. They will send a request to the Delhi office, and within a week, the challan will be deleted from your portal, allowing you to create a fresh one for the month.

For adding more contributions, generally, we go for a supplementary challan. Maybe for deletion as well, it will work. Please check it up on the ESIC Portal, and you will change the challan type to a supplementary challan.

I have received many calls from members regarding the matter. The only solution to this is to approach your regional office in writing, and then they will forward this request to the IT department. Finally, the challan will be deleted.
