As per the attachment, the number of PL (Paid Leave) availed depends on the organization. PL can be carried forward to the next year, whereas CL (Casual Leave) will not be carried forward; it should be used within the year. SL (Sick Leave) is different from CL. SL leave is calculated based on the number of days. For example, for each month, you will get 1 SL, and likewise, for 12 months, 12 SL. CL & PL depend on the organization's policies. You need to know how many of the leaves can be carried forward to the next year. If you are paid monthly, the financial year, like April to March, will be the financial year. This is maintained by manufacturing concerns. Some IT & BPO companies follow the calendar year. Even daily paid (wages) laborers follow the calendar year.
