I would like to highlight that the views presented by Sanjeev are somewhat correct. In India, for most companies, it is very difficult to obtain data from other companies for salary benchmarking. Either there is no response or the feedback provided is very poor and irrelevant, as expected.

There are consultants like Hay, Mercer, etc., but most companies cannot afford them solely for conducting such surveys. Sanjeev's response takes into consideration middle and small-level companies for these surveys.

One such survey is conducted by the Employers Federation of India on a national level. The survey report is a paid document which you can obtain from them. If you are interested, please send me a message, and I will connect you with the relevant person in their office. Of course, the survey is based on companies that participated, but it is a very valuable document for benchmarking.
