How Can I Draft an Email to Launch a Kaizen Initiative on Our Intranet?

Dear Al,

I am a Training Manager and would like to initiate 'Kaizen - Continuous Improvement' in our company. I would like to create an online intranet facility wherein all the employees can log in and file their Kaizens, i.e., ideas that each employee has come up with, implemented, and that have been successful. This way, we can keep track of how many successful Kaizens have been filed by each employee.

But for this, I need to email the Intranet in-charge informing them about this initiative and cc our Vice President.

Please help me draft such an email.

If you want to launch a CI, you would definitely need an approval from the top management. I hope you are good enough to draft an email yourself, but here are some points you should add in your email:

1. Purpose of Kaizen
2. How Kaizen is going to benefit the organization
3. Challenges in deploying Kaizen/Resources required

I hope that if you are able to draft this email, the best way to do so is through a presentation. I hope your TL management team would recognize your efforts and be able to help you in rolling out the same.
