Hi,
This is very relevant to oour day to day deceision making and I will hence for be more analytical before making decision.
But decision should be quick as many times delayed decisions are almost useless.

One thing is good "we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be
the r! ight one. Remember that what's right isn't always popular... and what's popular isn't always right."

prashant,
if there were a thirdf alternative like stopping the train in a complete different manner i wuld rsort to it as none of the lives wuld have gone waste but only if there were two alternatives i wuld spare none casuse either way both the children were wrong as there is plyaground to play and not the tracks used or unused.

Hey Prashant,
This was a really touching story.
You are right. Actually people make such hasty decision n the common people have to suffer for it.

Dear Sir,
As in English Literature series shakespere 'HAMLET' - as the saying says 'to be or not to be' in decision making involves psychological theories to make better assumption. The person involved in making decision carrying with him list o psychological sickness as well psychological mental care within himself.

In my opinion I think of little harm done, THE BEST PRIORITY, I consider is that let the train passed on the right track, even though it may harm few kids while saving the train and its passengers. My intuitive mind tells me that while the train nearing the kids, at least some kids are aware of the approaching train while the other kids may heed the warning of sound of the train.

My hunch is that, MOST PROBABLY, these local kids for decades have lived and played there with knowledge of passing train. So why so much worry about them.

Moreover, what if the accidents really happen and that all the communities involved will then be aware of their adament parents and kids to accept the fate and learn their bitter lessons for decades. And that local authorities should be well aware of that matter.
