Hi, I am just about to join a new company and wanted to know the best way to introduce myself to the new team. What things should be shared, and what should not be shared?

Introduction to a New Team

Hello everyone, I am [insert your name]. It is great joining you and being a member of the team. I believe in continuous learning and trust that working with you will be a great learning experience for me. Thank you.

Any other method of introduction is invited.

If they ask you, you can share your previous experience. However, as you become familiar with them, they will automatically inquire about your past experiences.

Hi, I feel that sometimes it is better to give your team an insight into your previous experience so that they can utilize the information to ask you for help or guidance on any matters related to the previous experience.

Just go ahead and introduce yourself in the way you feel most comfortable. There's no hard and fast rule for such occasions. However, there is one thing you need to bear in mind: whatever you say, it has to come from the heart. You need to express what you feel and not repeat what others suggest like a parrot. People, in general, can catch you off guard when they realize you don't mean what you are saying—even though they may not express it outright. And I guess that's the surest way to ruin a new beginning.

All the best.
