Choosing Between MPM and MBA for HR: Which Path Leads to Better Career Opportunities?

Hello! Can anyone guide me in choosing between MPM or MBA? Kindly let me know which will be better for my career and help me get placed in a good company. I have heard MPM is outdated and companies are preferring students who have done an MBA! Is that true? Also, let me know which are the good colleges for the MPM course in Pune?

Comparison Between MPM and MBA for HR Careers

There may not be much difference between MPM and MBA as far as the basic qualification required for an HR job is concerned. Probably, MPM may be taught more from a social welfare point of view, while MBA focuses more on the management of such social welfare. The current trend in the industry is to go for MBAs. However, the master's program at TISS in Mumbai may carry as much weight as a management course from XLRI in HR. It all depends on the reputation of the institute.
