Why Was My Pension Fund Claim Rejected? Seeking Insights on EPS Issues

Hi Friends,

I was working in an IT company located in Chennai for around 2.5 years. I quit the company earlier this year and subsequently applied for PF withdrawal. My claim for Form 19 has been approved, but the Pension fund (EPS) applied for in Form 10C has been rejected. If anyone is aware of why an EPS claim is rejected, kindly share your insights.

What's the problem written there? Any query in 1910C, and your experience of service is more than 6 months.

I had worked for a company for 1 year and 3 months. Now, I am applying for EPF and EPS claim. Will I receive the full amount contributed by my company to the EPS scheme?

After working for 8 months, when I transferred my PF, I filled Form 13A and got it transferred. However, I don't know about the pension and how to fill it. One person told me that the pension is received only after retirement. What should I do? Can someone please guide me? Please, please, please help me.

If your service is less than 9.5 years, then you will be entitled to withdraw your EPS fund.

Hi Everyone, I also have an EPF rejection for my Form 19. My EPF claim was rejected because it seems my father's name has been replaced by my family name in their records. My full name is (My name - Father's name - Family name). Unfortunately, in their rejection letter, my name has only two parts: My name & family name. My father's name in the middle is missing. Also, they have taken my family name as my father's name in their records.

Rejection Message Details

The message reads: "Your above-mentioned Claim Form 19 pertaining to Mr (My name - Family name) having A/C no.: (My PF account no.) under the EPF scheme has been rejected/returned due to the following reason(s): FATHER'S NAME DIFFERS, OTHERS

Initiator's Remarks: FATHER'S NAME DIFFERS. AS PER THIS OFFICE RECORDS FATHER'S NAME FURNISHED AS (Family Name). PLEASE CLARIFY

Note: In case the return/rejection is for any additional information/document, the claim may be resubmitted after rectifying the discrepancies noted above."

Let me know what I can do in this regard. Unfortunately, I am abroad now and cannot go in person to verify at the EPFO.
