In this regard, the topic should come from you. You have to make an effort based on your interest and competency in a particular topic. It is not beneficial if someone suggests a topic, and you conduct research on it without any prior knowledge. No spoon-feeding. Go to a good library, explore the books and journals, and discuss with your guide, other faculty members, and friends or colleagues. For research, it is not advisable if someone suggests a topic and you proceed without genuine interest. That interest should originate from you.
