Navigating Labour Compliance for New Factories: What Forms Do I Need in Rural Maharashtra?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good evening. I am Shaunak Marulkar, an MBA (HR) by qualification with 1.5 years of HR experience in Recruitment/Selection, Induction, Policy Formulation, and General Administration. However, I have recently switched to a different company, which is going to start a factory in Rural Maharashtra.

I would be thankful if anybody suggests Labour Compliance Forms (with respect to the Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Contract Labour, MLWF, etc.) that need to be filled with the competent authorities.

I am a new member of the group. I have been working as a Generalist HR for the last 4 years. I have gone through the attachment; it is very helpful and contains complete information about the laws.

I need to clarify one thing: Is it possible for the employer to deduct the PF & ESI of the staff members only after confirmation, or is it compulsory to deduct it from the Date of Joining (DOJ) of the staff? If PF & ESI deductions can begin after confirmation, what are the legal complications and procedures involved?

Hi Ruchika,

Please review PF and ESI laws. These two are totally different, but you have to pay from the date of joining. However, these laws categorize the employees who are covered and not covered.
