Sales Hierarchy Dilemma: Is GM a Higher Title Than Head of Sales? Seeking Advice

Is GM - Sales Designation Higher than Head - Sales Designation?

I have a person joining in sales. Every state sales lead is given the designation of Zonal Sales Manager. Now, there will be one person who will take reports from all states, but I do not want to give him the Head - Sales designation too soon. Please suggest.

GM is always higher than Head. As per your condition above, you can give any of the below designations:

1. Manager - Country Sales
2. Senior Manager - Country Sales
3. Deputy General Manager - Sales
