Registration Under BOCW Act 1996

Dear Sirs,
We are sub contractors for a power project, our principal employer has got itself registered under CLRA and BOCW act, is it necessary for contractors also to get itself registered under BOCW???

My query is again related to BOCW and CLRA while applying for registration under BOCW we were told by concerned DLC office that first we have to get ourselves registered under CLRA ..... is it necessary for a contractor to get labour license before taking registration under BOCW? or we are being misguided.

Yes, If license part is applicable to you, then you need to get License from the Labour Department. but is not the precondition for getting registration under BOCW.

We are executing a contractual work at a power plant and the labour involved in construction is less than 10% of the total cost.
