ESI Contributions from Bangalore: Can Hyderabad Employees Still Access Multi-Specialty Care?

hrhyderabad
I am working as an HR in Hyderabad. Regarding our ESI, we have our subcode for Hyderabad. However, our head office is in Bangalore, and they have been paying the contributions from the Bangalore subcode. Currently, ESI is not acceptable for employees for multi-specialty treatments. Could you please advise if we pay the contributions from our Bangalore code, can our employees still avail of ESI services?

No, please note that if you have branches in other offices, it is mandatory to apply for a subcode. Apply to the respective branch for subcode registration, and upon approval, they will issue a user ID and password. If you are paying contributions at Bangalore, you may request your Bangalore office's ESI branch to transfer the Hyderabad employee to the Hyderabad branch ESI office. Once this is done, you can avail all the benefits of the ESIC. After obtaining the user ID and password for Hyderabad, your company can also pay ESI contributions from Bangalore.

Thank you for your prompt response. Currently, we have a sub-code, username, and password for Hyderabad. However, the contributions are being paid from Bangalore under the same name. Unfortunately, the ESI authorities are not accepting this arrangement.

They should accept it as long as you are making contributions properly, mentioning the Hyderabad subcode (separate challan). You should obtain a report on contributions made with employees' names from the Bangalore office and then submit it to the Hyderabad office. It will suffice.

The thing is, they are paying the contributions from the Bangalore subcode, not from our Hyderabad code. They are paying for all our Hyderabad employees from the Bangalore subcode. Still, can we continue the ESI service or not? Please guide me.

Yes, your Bangalore office needs to provide a letter from the Bangalore ESIC office showing the contributions made so far. The same needs to be submitted to the Hyderabad ESIC office.

Yes, I have taken all the contributions to ESI, whatever we paid. Still, they are telling us that we must pay from our Hyderabad subcode only, and they are not responding properly either. Please suggest me.

Hi,

My name is Mithun Kumar Jha. I have worked with a previous company. They issued an ESI card, but by mistake, they changed my name to another name. Currently, I am working with another company, and when I try to get an ESI card there, it shows the wrong name. How can I correct this error and update my own name? Please provide me with a solution. Thank you.
