Is This Activity Comes Under Corporate Social Responsibility...........

Is CSR means only being responsibility towards society………?
Then why don’t companies can be responsible in saving energy by using the natural light provided by Sun?????
Imagine if one chamber lights are lightening continuously in a day
1 light = 40 watts
Chamber minimum having 2 lights
2Lights X 40 Watts = 80 Watts
Department having 4 Chambers
4 X 80 Watts = 320 Watts
Total 12 Departments
12 X 320 Watts = 3840 Watts
365 Days X 3840 = 140160 Watts
This is for a Normal office………….
Just think that, how many offices are in a District, State and Whole India…..?
How much power can be saved????????????????
IF it is CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Why Don’t we follow2…………………………………………………………………………..?

Hello P Ratna Prakash,
While your thought, logic & suggestion are both laudable & well-put, I think you are a bit confused between CSR & the point you raised--Energy Conservation [thru alternate energy sources].
CSR is something that benefits the SOCIETY at large--not touching upon the geographical limits--while Energy Conservation prima-facie benefits ONLY that particular company/industry. If a company uses the money thus saved for some socially relevant cause, THEN it would be entering the realm/arena of CSR.
Hope you get the point.

HELLO
IT IS NOT CSR, it is towards ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION / making green earth,,, and it is also good initiative. There are some methods by which natural light can be pushed into the rooms, using some instruments so during day time you wont need artificial tube lights, also you can use solar energy and led lights which use very less energy.
good intiiative but first successfuly implement this in your own home, then office then spread to society because charity begins at home so does environment conservation .
